{"id":1708,"date":"2013-01-29T18:38:00","date_gmt":"2013-01-29T18:38:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/consigli.wpengine.com\/?p=1708"},"modified":"2020-12-09T11:06:25","modified_gmt":"2020-12-09T16:06:25","slug":"new-center-for-ambulatory-services-scores-big-with-patients-and-staff","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.consigli.com\/new-center-for-ambulatory-services-scores-big-with-patients-and-staff\/","title":{"rendered":"New Center for Ambulatory Services Scores Big with Patients and Staff"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: left;\" align=\"center\"><strong>POUGHKEEPSIE,\u00a0NY \u2013<\/strong> Vassar Brothers Medical Center\u2019s new campus expansion in Poughkeepsie, completed by the design-build team of Kirchhoff Consigli Construction Management (KCCM) of Pleasant Valley, New York and Steffian Bradley Architects of Boston, Massachusetts, offers a comfortable and welcoming new facility, winning over fans of both patients and staff.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Built to meet increased patient demand for the Mid-Hudson Valley regional medical center, the campus includes a new four-story, 100,000 square foot Daniel Z. Aronzon Ambulatory Surgery Center, a new free-standing 5,000 square-foot cafeteriabuilding to service the entire Medical Center, and two new parking structures.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The Daniel Z. Aronzon Ambulatory Surgery Center, a 25,000 square foot state-of-the-art facility, houses five operating\/procedural suites, surgical preparatory and recovery units, a family waiting lounge and medical\/administrative offices.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The expansion also includes a new much-needed five-story, 867-vehicle employee parking garage to accommodate the Center\u2019s large staff.\u00a0 The pre-cast concrete structure\u2019s design resembles a three-story building.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Located adjacent to the Medical Office Building, a new 266-space parking deck for patients was designed as a counterpart to the employee parking garage.\u00a0 The free-standing caf\u00e9 building links the larger buildings with new pedestrian area, walkways and outdoor seating.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">Patient response to the new Center has been enthusiastic.
